Mary Lou Krambeer, principal of MLK & Company, focuses on the leadership and development of nonprofit organizations. For over 30 years, she has supported organizations in all aspects of institutional change and improvement. Underlying her work is a passion for developing effective and sustainable organizations.. To that end she works with clients to envision their future and design adaptive and strategic plans.
Ms. Krambeer's career began in large nonprofit fundraising departments where she learned successful organizations are built upon: l) a compelling vision, 2) trust in leadership, and 3) clear plans. Together these elements motivate donors to invest in nonprofits. In 1997, when she started her consulting firm, she designed services around these three essential building blocks. Since then Ms. Krambeer has worked with over 80 nonprofit organizations, throughout New England, on strategic planning, leadership development, and fundraising projects. Her clients range in size from start-ups to 4-year colleges and address an array of sectors — the arts, education, environment, healthcare, and social services. She works with clients ready to address their challenges and looking for a strong partner to lead the complex process of bringing together teams and ideas.
